Final chance to have a nose around
To celebrate our 30th anniversary year as a business, we have been opening our gates to the public for the first time in nearly 20 years! We have had two weekends so far, one in the Spring and one in the Summer. This weekend represents the final installment for this year.
We open 9am – 5pm on both Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th. You will get to see the nursery with plenty of Autumn interest, as well as some really interesting plants we have grown for the 2013 season.
Highlight will include late flowering perennials and a large selection of grasses. Also available to buy will be alpines, herbs, Autumn vegetable plants, tropical plants, succulents and patio plants.
See how a commercial nursery ticks and how we produce hundreds of thousands of plants a year. Come meet the famous Tonto the bonkers nursery dog, who has made several appearances on these pages this year!
Saturday 7th April 9am – 5pm & Sunday 8th April 9am – 5pm.
2012 represents a very important landmark as a business, with our 30th anniversary year, and to celebrate this we are opening our gates to the public for the first time in over fifteen years!
Make the most of this very limited opportunity to sample nearly 3000 different perennials, alpines, potted bulbs, herbs, vegetable plants, soft fruit, grasses, patio plants and topiary. We are strictly a wholesale nursery and will only be open to the public for these special days (see advert on the right).
‘grow your own’ season starts early (again)!
It’s that time of year, where we at How Green get a head start on our competitors to produce our first crop of vegetable and salad plants.
The popularity of the edible market shows no sign of waining, with widespread media coverage from magazine articles and television programmes. The importance of healthy eating has been realised and the satisfaction of nurturing then harvesting your own produce is immense.
Our vegetable and salad range continues throughout the year, including a batch of Autumn planting specialities. Look out for our extensive soft fruit and herb range available in the coming weeks. Get growing, get eating!
