A hatrick of accolades at worlds greatest flower show!
What a year it has been here at the nursery! We’ve been so busy and this year we have been involved with the Chelsea Flower Show more than ever! The previous four years, we have supplied one garden with plants, but this year we have grown for three!
We were honoured to grow for the Meningitis Now charity in the artisan category. Being their thirtieth anniversary year, the exposure they got was priceless! The garden was designed by John Everiss who has shown at Chelsea before. John used cutting edge technology using a 3D printer to construct life-size sculptures of individuals who have (and currently have) the disease. We grew all the herbaceous for this garden and they deservedly won a silver-gilt medal and more importantly ‘People’s choice’ award!
We also grew the hardy annuals for the gold medal winning Jo Thompson ‘Chelsea Barracks’ garden. A beautiful contemporary English rose garden – an amazing garden!
Lastly, but not leastly, we supplied the herbaceous perennials for the David Harber trade stand, designed and put together by Nic Howard. It was like no other trade stand, as Nic put together a stunning garden to display the sculptures. It turned heads and won many admirers, including a 5 star award and best trade stand in show!
A great return and we’re proud to have helped with all three projects! The dust has not yet settled, but we already have some exciting news for Chelsea 2017 – watch this space!!
