Welcome to our new fuzzy friends from Australia! These amazing Tree Ferns (Dicksonia antarctica) can grow up to 15 metres (49 feet) but don’t worry, it takes a long time and most average out at 4.5m (15ft) maximum. Current stock ranges from 2ft to 6ft. Please give us a call or email plants@howgreennursery.co.uk if you are interested in adding something special to your garden project.

We do not actively market using information collected from outside sources, our mailing list is made up of previous clients and people who have requested our details. It’s the week we love to dread each year – Chelsea Flower Show delivery week! We are growing even more than ever this year. Our first Main Avenue garden with designer Nic Howard & David Harbor sculpture. We’re also growing for John Everiss and his Myeloma UK garden & three trade stands – eeek! Please have patience with us during this busy time, we are going as fast as we can to keep up with demand!
Before we know it Chelsea Flower Show will be upon us and we are growing plants for the trade stand of our good pals Chilstone for the second year running. They were awarded the tremendous 5 Star Award last year, so we are looking to emulate that again. We’re proud to be growing for John Everiss and his amazing Artisan garden sponsored by Myeloma UK. Hopefully we can get the result we need to thrust the charity into the Limelight.
It’s hard to believe another year has whistled by! What a fantastic year 2017 has proved to be! We started early, back in February, with our garden design customers involved in some big projects which got the ball rolling. The garden centres then picked up as the weather improved in the spring. This year is flying by at a tremendous rate of knots! It’s the end of November & Christmas is only a whisker away! Whilst gardeners are putting their gardens to bed for the Winter, designers & landscapers go up a gear. Autumn/early Winter is the best time to plant trees, hedging and shrubs, especially bare root & rootball material. The ground is still warm, encouraging root growth and there’s moisture in the soil.
