It’s been a little quiet on these pages for a few weeks, as we’ve been off on our holidays! With a passion for horticulture running through our veins, the lure of the Autumn spectacular abroad was too much!
Two weeks in September/October were spent ‘leaf peeping’ in New England in America and the Quebec and Ontario regions in Canada. In an amazing stroke of luck, the colour was seen at it’s peak and in certain parts of Canada, it was the best seen in nearly thirty years!
The Maple colours were truly spectacular, with oranges, reds, yellows, pinks and peach.
2500 miles were covered in two weeks, but the scenery was amazing and will live long in the memory for years to come. A trip for North America’s ‘fall’ is whole-heartedly recommended!
